WANTED: PBX programmer (Jackson, MS)
Summary of Position

This position is responsible for end user and technician remote support, help desk, as well as analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system programming issues.


Essential Job Requirements
Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of an Avaya PBX.
Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
Monitor helpdesk ticket queues and resolve assigned tickets
Perform on-site system administration for an Avaya PBX
Assist end users with questions or problems
Monitor performance and escalate incidents
Stay updated on technology changes or problems

Required Experience
Relevant experience in large PBX systems
LAN / WAN networking experience helpful, but not neccesary

Required Skills
Technical Skills Required:

PBX/VoIP/Telephony experience
Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem and think abstractly to solve it.

Practices active listening skills to determine the nature of the problem/call. Practices excellent telephone and written communication skills including voice tone and grammar. Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.


Teamwork: Contributes to building positive team morale.

Attendance/Punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time. Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk in an office setting; operate computers, keyboards and other peripheral equipment, as well as telephone equipment and headsets.
